"As a mother of a six-month-old baby boy and a registered nurse, I am writing this letter to let you know how impressed I am with your product. One Saturday approximately a week and a half ago, my son became ill with diarrhea. It started with only two episodes in one day, but quickly escalated to eight episodes by Sunday evening. At our physician's office on Monday, we were informed that he had contracted the Rotavirus (probably from daycare). Of course, my major concern was keeping my son well hydrated, but I was also concerned because within two days his bottom had become severely irritated. Our nurse practitioner recommended Bag Balm along with any brand name diaper ointment to be applied with every diaper change. We tried everything from brand name products to home made remedies recommended by friends and family none, which was effective. Unfortunately, as his diarrhea increased to eleven episodes a day, the more irritated his bottom became. As a home health nurse, I grew very concerned knowing how quickly his fragile skin could deteriorate. Not only was his bottom becoming worse, but also it became painful to the point that if I tried to check his diaper, he would begin to kick and cry. By day six, his irritated skin developed into two open areas. They were actually Stage two wounds that measured approximately three centimeters in diameter and two centimeters in diameter. I felt very helpless and then I remembered that a friend of mine had given me samples of your product. She told me that it worked well on severe diaper rash. I felt that we had nothing to lose, so on the morning of the seventh day we applied Calmoseptine^® Ointment. We applied it at every diaper change. By that evening, the improvement was remarkable. Although he still had open wounds, most the redness had improved. I could even clean his bottom without him screaming and crying in pain. Within twenty-four hours, the wounds had become noticeably smaller. In addition, in less than seventy-two hours the wounds were closed. It has now been four days since we began using Calmoseptine^® Ointment, Jordan is over his illness (thank goodness), and there are only a few red areas, which are healing quickly. I predict that his bottom will be completely healed within another two days. I must admit that I have never seen nor used a product that has worked so well and so quickly. "My daughter has been sick for about 9 weeks straight now, mostly with ear infections. She keeps having to do 10 days of one antibiotic that never helps then get switched to big gun medications. "I wanted to tell you a little story about my daughter and the use of your product. On September 2, 1997, my husband and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Hannah, into our world. On September 4, 1997, we watched in horror as our daughter was taken away from us, only 48 hours old, to be transferred to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children because she would not eat. Upon our arrival at the hospital, we saw Hannah in an incubator with a tube in her nose and an IV in her delicate little arm. There were all sorts of wires and tubes coming from everywhere. On September 6, 1997, we learned that Hannah would need to have a major operations, a colostomy, because she was diagnosed with Hirschsprung's Disease, a lack of ganglion cells in her intestine. Our worst nightmare had come true. Something was wrong with our first baby. Hannah had her operation on September 9, 1997 after extensive treatment with antibiotics for enterocolitis. Now 7 days old, she has an ileostomy because the disease claimed all of her large intestine, her colon and 5 inches of her small intestine. Hannah remained in the hospital until October 3, 1997. We had now lost a whole month of cuddling, feeding, crying and closeness with our first baby. Upon Hannah's discharge, we had to learn to care for her special needs (i.e. how to change a colostomy bag; take care of her stoma; measure her intake of food; and her output through her stoma). We consulted with Dr. Debora Billmire at St. Chris' who informed us that, upon Hannah turning age 1, she could have the ileostomy reversed. Be able to go the the bathroom "normally", or we could keep the stoma. So we asked ourselves, what do we think Hannah would want? The chance to be "normal" or worry about having to change a broken bag in the middle of a school day? Needless to say, we chose the second operation. May 18, 1998 was the bid day. Hannah was in surgery for 6 hours. Half the time of the first surgery. It was a success. She had enough intestine left to be pulled-through and reconnected to her rectum. Dr. Billmire informed us that she would get a "diaper rash from hell". Boy was she right! It is now almost a year later and Hannah's "diaper rash from hell" has still not cleared up. Because she only has her small intestine, she has more frequent bowel movements, 6-10 per day. We have tried every diaper and non-diaper rash cream, the ointment and powder on the market; we have tried different brands of diapers and always buy them a size too big, but nothing helps, Hannah suffers daily with a swollen, red and bleeding bottom. At our last visit with Dr. Billmire, march 16, 1999, she gave me a sample of your product. What a MIRACLE. This stuff has done what a prescription could not do. The redness is now pink, the swelling has gone down and there is hardly any bleeding. All that in 24 hours. "We just had to write to you to thank you for providing such a miraculous and ingenious product. In 18 years of treating a g-tube site for my son, we have never found a product so effective in healing and protecting the g-tube site until we tried your Calmoseptine^® Ointment. "I usually do not take the time to write manufacturers of products. However, I was so inspired by my results with your product Calmoseptine^® Ointment that I thought a 'thank you' note was in order. I am a 37 year old male. I have a daily 1.5 hour commute (each way) to my job where I work as a Director of Communications; which means I sit most of the time. This, coupled with a congenital heart defect and obesity has led to extremely poor circulation in my lower legs, especially my left leg. Usually during periods of increased swelling in my leg, due to the poor circulation, I would experience periods of small blisters forming or generalized weeping from my shin. This was annoying, but not a 'huge' problem and something I had learned to live with. However, this summer, those blisters began appearing on my calf as well and moved from looking like simple blisters to cankers. Needless to say I visited a doctor who had me go to a dermatologist. Neither was able to provide any answers or solutions other than to keep it dry and clean. Meanwhile the condition was worsening the entire back of my leg had begun draining and was staying mildly infected. Each day when I would go home, I would have to immediately wash my slack to remove the blood and drainage from them that had seeped through during the day. Wearing shorts to keep cool and to limit contact with the growing wound was not feasible because I did not want to subject the general public to the sight of my draining leg and sloughing skin. I was desperate and was willing to try anything that might reverse the process and heal my leg, as my wife and I were watching it continue to swell and began having serious fears about infection, gangrene, and blood poisoning. To that end, I happen to be eating at one of my favorite lunch spots, Wagner's Pharmacy, in Louisville Kentucky. Wagner's is an old style pharmacy which still boasts a lunch counter and has one of the best menus in town. While I was there, I thought I would ask if they had any 100% aloe vera gel products that I might use. The lady behind the counter said they did not, but asked why I was looking for such an ointment. I showed her my leg and explained my situation to her. She immediately walked to the store shelves and picked up a tube of your product. Handing it to me, she explained that she formerly was a pharmacy tech at a nursing home and this is what they used religiously on bed sores and pressure sores and she had seen nothing as effective on the market. I took her advice and headed home. That has been two weeks now. The pustules are all gone, there is no more weeping, the swelling is abating, and the infection has completely cleared. "In 1993, my Uncle Willie had cancer surgery and afterwards he was bedridden for quite a while, resulting in a small be sore on his tail bone. August 8th of this year, he had a second surgery - this time, a total radical laryngectomy. Since I am the one who has the responsibility of his complete home health care, I said something about the possibility of another bedsore (he has a very prominent tailbone) and I wanted to start preventative measures early. I have what they call a systemic dermatitis on one ankle, one heel, and one elbow. (I'm telling you, when it itches - the itch goes clear through to the bone!) Well - I couldn't believe it! Within minutes the itch had stopped!! "I am so grateful for your product's performance as I went through recovery from a fissurectomy this past month. "About 9 years ago I broke out on my arms with a very hot, itchy rash that got so bad that I ended up going to the doctor to get something for it. I have used your product in a variety of patient care settings and will elaborate on several uses. By using Calmoseptine^® Ointment on macerated and/or eroded skin or perianal scald - caused by diarrhea or intestinal secretions, the red, raw, burning or itching sensation is eliminated. Most patients indicate Calmoseptine^® Ointment to be the first (many times the only) treatment which has provided relief. In a survey 5 out of 7 patients have obtained relief for rash occurring from a medication reaction. Women with heavy breasts or those who perspire readily may develop irritation and redness. Calmoseptine^® Ointment has been beneficial in restoring skin condition in every case when it has been used.
